Mount Hale
7-27-2018
After spending the night at the Apple (()) Campground we woke at the break of dawn to hike Mount Hale via the Hale Brook Trail. We saw our first real live black bear crossing the trail just before we got to the trailhead. We worked in two groups, Skylar and Peyton moving fast and Savannah and her Dad slow behind. The trail was easy, I cant say for sure but Im pretty sure we made it to the summit in less than three hours. The trail is 2.2 miles and, well its just easy. The summit has no views, the highlight was that we were able to meet someone who was a member a high frequency radio club who was setting up an antenna on the summit. Great weather, no views but a great day of climbing. We made it back to camp by 1PM, deffinitely our easiset hike so far.
